Extreme Lands

More and more humans live in urban areas - easy to live in dwellings with all commodities.
There, we are artificially sheltered from some dangerous powers of Nature: darkness, winds, storms... In a matter of fact, a substantial fraction of humans have never ever seen the Milky Way under a clear sky far from any city.

As a consequence, we tend to forget how fiercesome, powerful and dangerous Nature can be for humans or any other living species.

In my series Extreme Lands, I try to isolate a strong element or phenomenon in each photography, to magnify it to the extreme and restore this respect we should all have towards Planet Earth, called "our planet" while we are living here as guests.
